Such a beautiful song. So I just want to thank Dylan and Guns for making it possible. Maybe you’ll sing it for me sometime?

Fat chance. But I can dream, right?

Just found out today that the Monsterpalooza? (definitely spelled wrong), is a go. Looks like I’ll be hitting the west coast in April? My dad said it’s a perfect opportunity to meet these famous people. Me? Getting to meet Rick Baker? That’s so cool!

Anyway, we have a packed itinerary. Hopefully I can convince mu dad to go to Disneyland. Though I went to Disneyworld last year 😛

We also plan to check out some famous buildings – and sunset strip! Woo – hoo! Maybe I’ll get lucky and Steven Alder will be playing a show there (the whiskey), and we’ll go.

So, I recently opened a shop on Zazzle.com, and I’m really absorbed. It a really great site to set up shop, because it runs on royalties. So basically, you design a product, and if it sells, then you get a portion of the sales. So basically, a pretty much free way to make money.  All you have to do is create stock and promote your shop.

My Strore Url: http://www.zazzle.com/maddierox4eva.

So that’s why I made this post – I guess. To promote my shop and to tell you what I have stocked in there. (Everything but the kitchen sink). Well, not exactly, but right now I have:

Open All Hours stuff: Ever dreamed of Working for (or even just visiting Arkwright’s Grocery? Well, here’s your chance to live the roll. At my store, you can find an Arkwright’s Delivery Service, and Granville – Fetch your cloth bumper stickers, an Arkwright’s Grocery apron and even a “I love to shope at Arkwright’s” tote bag. So if you’re a fan, you’ll love these products.

Laurel & Hardy: I have lots of items in my arsenal. There’s a bumper sticker that reads “another fine mess”, a greeting card with Stan on the telephone, and even a retro tie! Don’t forget to pick up the “steak a la Oliver” apron, and to order your “Big Business” Christmas Tree business cards.

Want other movie merchandise? Check out my Edward G. Robinson Larceny Inc and Double Indemnity posters. And if you’re a Harold Loyd fan, you can purchase my “Think Big” Iphone 4 case!

For the rock god in you: I have designed an Epic Slash mouse pad, and there is lots of Beatles stuff – from Beatlemania stickers – to a #1 Beatles fan Ipad case. There’s even a ‘Who’s That Little Old Man?” button.  Score.

Are you a Bond fan? We have a British Secret Service “Top Secret” binder, and “Shaken Not Stirred” coasters.

For people who wish Match Game was still on the air: I designed a mini set on polyvore – and used that image to decorate a mug and a button! Get yours today.

For misc items, we have an “Eye of The Tiger” mouse pad, fracturing my own photography, a “Be Bold” Iphone 4 case, cute vintage looking circle necklace, and “My other car is a Lamborghini” bumper sticker.

And that’s everything available right now. Happy shopping!

If that’s not enough: Here’s my Zazzle Panel:

Well, I hope you enjoyed my sales pitch. Again, please support ♥

Which has been my obsession for the past year. Funny how you get hooked, and get high etc. Well – it’s a really good site to express my creative talents. I have created works of art on there – like really. So I wanted to share some of it.

Well, I decided to see how long I neglected this blog – and I found that my last post came from 0ctober second. OCTOBER SECOND? Yikes! So I have decided, that as a new years resolution – I will try to blog more often. I mean, try. I won’t force myself to – because that’s just self cruelty. But I will try.

I also plan to tackle the clarinet this year. Wish me luck. I haven’t played it in months.

School dance ….

October 2, 2010

Oh. Sh*t. You must hate me. I forgot to tell you about the school dance!

Well it was on Thursday. When I checked in, apparently the guy thought I was someone else and marked me off as “Lizzie”.

…..

I hope the real Lizzie got in okay :p

Anyway, all was good except for one tiny thing …

No 80’s music? {well except for the one Aerosmith song everyone Thinks is new. }

That sucks! Like, 80’s music is just as good to dance to as Mainstream.

Oh and through the gym loudspeakers I honestly thought that Justin Beiber sounded like a girl. Especially when somebody to love came on. Me & my friend argued yesterday about that … {her} “NO HE DOESN’T” –  {me} “um yeah he does”

So how was your day? I had a yard-sale today …. pretty cold and damp but I made cash all the same.

And now a treat! I love this song so listen to it ♥

Helix is FUCK*NG awesome. They have that heavy electric rock feel that I love – they’re hot too – BONUS!

Sorry for the sketchy post … !!

But today, I feel I must. Some specific topic is prodding at my sides.

Yes, you guessed right. FACEBOOK. So again, what’s my point? Let me explain.

It seems everybody I know is becoming a face-book slave. For example, a few days ago in business, the girl beside me quickly dashed to facebook while the teacher was out of the room. Damn! She said – they blocked it. Now I can update my status! Like jeez, what’s she gonna put there … In business class now?? As if anyone’s going to be reading peoples statuses while their in class. Unless it’s some creeper who does it for a living. That’s why it’s blocked. So you can FOCUS on work.

Or how about my friend. She has no computer. For which I feel bad about, but still. She comes over, and the second I leave my computer, she’s tapping away … talking to some guy who says he hates her … and getting into a mess with him. It no surprise she begged to stay on while I scarfed down my pizza and got ready to go to the gym .. but we had to politely turn her away for the night.

So you get my point? Yeah – though so. No go log onto facebook …

A Beatlemania set done on polyvore – made by me of course.

Ha. I realized that after reading about 50 different blog posts, that my room was dead quiet. So I put on the Beatles. God, I could be a third Beatle! It’s amazing, how good I sound. All that’s left is to buy a Les Paul. *wink wink* then I’ll be a skilled musician.

Hey, I’m wearing a tie right now! Does that mean I’m in the band? Well, at least I can tell you the happy news that I yes I am a member of my school’s ROCK CHOIR! Wooo hoo! I’m actually part of something musical, instead of just dreaming of something musical. Getting signed to Capitol or Atlantic? Maybe I should make a mix for the a&r execs to drop off when I go to Cali?

Or I could always take the Justin Beiber route, and post everything to u-tube, but he was just a lucky beaver :p

Oh well. Bye everybody.

Ah, Facebook.

September 23, 2010

So okay. I’m really triply sorry. Honest. I guess I’m not the blogging type. Anyway, did I tell you I started grade nine? It’s been three weeks. I guess I’ve been hiding in a shell.

So it’s business class, and somehow, I suck onto billboard, just to take a peek at the charts, not that Katy Perry was going to give up the crown, anyway. (Hey, I actually LIKE teenage dream, though I bet you thought I would drone on and on about how some rock great like Slash should be wearing the pants.)

So anyway, back to business. Of course, after I checked the charts, I just HAD to check the news also, hoping to find out about some scandal like so and so gets arrested for drug possession, or so and so has twins! Yes, out business teacher can view our screens and lock our computers, so I was ready to take the shock at any moment.

The attention of a photo caught my eye. Yep, John Lennon’s photo. He often gets into the news, the last article I read on him was about a toilet of his selling for 750 + k.

THERE IS A F*CKING CONTEST! Yeah, it’s a cover contest, you either cover a Beatles song, or him solo. You win all this cool memorabilia, it’s insane.

And then, those words that I dread: Post. It. On. Facebook. Grr!

I don’t like Facebook. Who really needs it? So now I cant enter the contest because some genius couldn’t think of any better site to post the videos on.

Well, I’ve bored you enough, haven’t I?

Uh – Oh …

September 3, 2010

Looks like I’m in trouble. I haven’t told you about my venture to Toronto to see South Pacific, my trip to the one and only Canada’s Wonderland, or anything else for that matter, for weeks. I must apologize. I’ve been so busy lately, what with computer issues, Itunes issues, which still need to be resolved and …..

Okay so, yesterday was my grade nine BBQ – Orientation event. You must admit, it can be something to dread, because it gives you a looming reminder that in a few days, Sweet Home Alabama will grow old once again, and you’ll have to fumble for your alarm clock in the morning, to the point where you fall out of bed. And, also, you get the dreaded reminder that you are now a Fishie. (That’s what the upperclassmen call you, apparently.)

Basically, you enter the school, stand in a line, and pick up your timetable. Then you get the opportunity to locate your classes and your locker, and also pay for things like a student card, and a yearbook. (They make you shell out at least 70$.) I suppose my mother can look on the bright side, because you get a free t-shirt after spending all that money …… wow.

Then they give you “the talk” in the auditorium. Then you go & sign up for your clubs, and then there’s the BBQ. That’s it. Then you leave, and begin to dread Tuesday.

You were mine … ♥

August 13, 2010

There is nothing like a Dairy Queen Oreo Blizzard. That’s right. There are many copiers out there (Mcflurry, Baskin Robins Soft Serve) and they too are good, but honestly nothing beats DQ. Nothing. First bite and you are in heaven. So, why am I expressing my feelings of personal joy? I actually got to have one again. Yes, I had it last night. It was only a mini size, but any size is good enough to curb my craving.

That’s not the point of this post though. I wanted to talk more about last night.. in the form of So You Think You Can Dance. Yes. They crowned the winner last night. At that point, they all deserved to win, but I kinda did have a set list in my mind. Robert would probably take third, which he did. Then I figured Kent would win .. and Lauren would take top girl anyway. BUT SHE WON! I don’t believe it. I was actually glad she won, though Kent Deserved it just the same.

So anyway, the rest of the show was good. We got to revisit all of the best dances. We got to look more into national dance day (Haha .. did you catch the part when they called Adam Shankman old?) Anyway …. what really made the night was just before they crowned the winner, Yes … the “special guest” the “dance legend”. I thought that was amazing. But really, I just cracked up. Anyway, the video of “that” will be up tomorrow. Plus, I’ll post some videos of the best routines. So yeah. And the Canadian leg starts airing Sunday. Be sure to watch!

Now then .. If you want to know what I did today:

Finished a book, actually. But is was one of those comic/easy to read text kind of books, so It was easy.

Then I turned my computer on and did the “rounds” plus I downloaded Fix You by Coldplay. (Give it a listen)

Then I showered and dressed and stuff (I sang Aeroplane in the shower).

Then I wanted to see if the “special guest” video was on You Tube and it was! Then I watched that and some others. (Wow. Repeat much.)

So I’ve been on this site where you can compose outfits … It’s called (Just a sec I’m looking for it in my bookmarks!) Couturious. You have to have Facebook to join and make an account, so I took screenshots of my work instead. Yep. I don’t use Facebook. Don’t worry. I don’t need it to breathe or anything. So anyway, here’s my work.

They may be a bit hard to see ……. But try your best. Thanks ♥
